Original 2-owner pre-CBS 1964 Stratocaster in three colour "clownburst." Pre-cbs stratocasters are one of the Holy Grails for guitar collectors. In this case, the cliche that they don't make them like this anymore holds true. This guitar has all of the features of Fender's Golden Era such as "black bottom" pickups, White "cloth" wire, rubber pickup springs, 3-way switch, CTS pots and an aluminum pickguard shield all attached to a "green" pickguard. No routs under the pickguard or any swapped parts, although I cannot vouch for originality of the term arm. It is missing its bridge cover and the back plate was engraved with the original owner's military number. Includes the original white case. The latches are strong and the case is fully functional albiet a bit mold stained from military service, and  the black trim on the edges is starting to come loose. The wear on the body is shown in the pictures. A top-notch playing experience. Now is the right time to own a Pre-CBS Strat.
